Information technology (IT) now plays a key role in farmers’ decision-making processes, especially for complex problems with many parameters, or when tracking the evolution of a parameter over time. According to the Brazilian Commission of Precision Agriculture (CBAP, 2017 national survey), approximately 67% of Brazilian farms already use some kind of technological innovation in their production process or farm management.

SynTech Research Group already uses paperless systems for data collection and analysis, ensuring speed and accurate management and the availability of customers’ data. In this context, we are always developing our agricultural R&D expertise; using and developing IT as it evolves, as part of constant renewal of our assessment methodologies. We provide customers and partners laboratory and field data generated through innovative equipment, staying well ahead of the new technology reaching farmers. Chlorophyllometers, NDVI readers, drones and special cameras enable us to generate increasing amounts of data in a short time, and add more parameters when assessing the performance of a product.

Using these modern methods of data acquisition and subsequent analysis also allows SynTech to analyze interactions between large numbers of variables and demonstrate subtle differences between treatments not detectable by conventional methodologies. This is essential for our interpretation of results, providing more precise and valuable conclusions for our customers.
