SynTech’s new Environmental Chemistry capabilities

Daniel Mourad, Global Account Manager, GLP, SynTech Research and James Devine, Environmental Chemistry Manager, SynTech Research Laboratory Services

SynTech Research’s recent acquisition of analytical services in Stilwell, Kansas complements its global GLP field trials programs, providing a one-stop shop for clients.  With the addition of experienced personnel, SynTech has expanded its capacity for field study directorship and project management to offer the complete residue package to maintain global quality and on-time delivery.

This end-to end service has been requested by a number of SynTech’s key customers, and it is gratifying that we are already getting requests for 2013 programs on this basis!

SynTech’s team of experienced analytical chemists and support staff can offer services needed to meet GLP regulatory requirements including:

  • sample homogenization,
  • analysis of crops, food, soil, water, ecotoxicology and other environmental samples
  • analytical method development
  • independent laboratory validation
  • storage stability studies

Cooking procedures may also be conducted, to determine the fate of residues in food during food preparation.

The laboratory equipment includes state of the art LC/MS/MS instruments for fast and accurate residue measurements, as well as the more common instruments needed for chemical analyses. SynTech’s Environmental Chemistry capability is also able to undertake analyses on several different matrices including crops, processed foods, soil and water and animal tissues. It also provides environmental fate services for aquatoxicology, soil field dissipation, and soil lab degradation studies. In the future, we anticipate offering services to the pharma sector, including PK/PD and ADME support.
