A step change in SynTech’s ecotoxicology offering

Eric Ythier, Global Account Manager, Ecotoxicology

With the acquisition in 2012 of the Bayer CropScience capability at Stilwell, Kansas, USA, SynTech Research has taken a major step in extending its Ecotoxicology facilities, and now provides a range of services that are second-to-none in the industry – see news. SynTech now provides a complete ecotoxicology offering worldwide.

Its range includes: avian toxicology, aquatic toxicology (fish, amphibian, invertebrates, sediment organisms, algae and higher plants), tests on honeybees and other pollinators, soil organisms, non-target plants and arthropods.

It can also conduct non-target organism (including bees) residues studies and associated analytical support, provide risk assessment, study directorship services and Quality Compliance. Studies are done to GLP or GEP standards, and include laboratory tests, semi-field and field trials.

All studies commonly required for the submission of chemical (agrochemical, pharma, petrochemical, specialty/consumer, animal health and biocides) and seed/traits regulatory dossiers submitted to OECD, EPA, JMAFF, PMRA and Latin American authorities can be performed. Other specially designed studies can be undertaken on request.

Services are available globally: SynTech Research’s Ecotoxicology laboratories are located at Stilwell, Kansas, Macon and Nimes, France, with additional laboratory and field study resources in its worldwide network of 28 field stations
