Coverdale Training course in USA
SynTech staff from USA, France, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Japan attended a three days team building course in Fresno, USA between 9 and 11 December 2009.
Regional Director – Europe and Africa appointed
SynTech Research, the global Contract Research Organization (CRO) with headquarters in Davis, California, has appointed Dr Colin Ruscoe as its European / Africa Regional Director. He will be responsible for leading existing and expanding SynTech Research businesses in the region. Dr. Ruscoe’s global experience will be significant in the further developing and implementing SynTech’s global business strategy. Dr. Ruscoe previously held senior management business and R&D positions with ICI, Zeneca and Syngenta. He will be based in the UK and will continue in his positions as Chairman, British Crop Production Council (BCPC) and on the Executive Scientific Committee of the Innovative Vector Control Consortium (IVCC). Asia
SynTech Research has announced the expansion of its Asia/Pacific region, to carry out registration of agrochemical, biopesticide, and biocides. The new registration manager, Mr Hans Dieter Osten, has joined the Asian Registration team. Mr Osten will be based in Hong Kong and has over 35 years experience in registration in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia having previously worked in a major R&D multinational organisation and more recently for a generic supplier. Latin America
SynTech has announced the formation of a partnership with Bioagri laboratorios LTDA, the largest analytical laboratory (GLP accredited) in Latin America located in Brazil. This partnership will allow both companies to provide a complete package of services (field, lab and study directorship) for any agrochemicals, biological and biocide products for Latin America registration as well as globally. USA - New Field Satellite in Illinois
SynTech has announced the appointment of Mr Gary Schultz from 1 November 2009, as Field Research Biologist responsible for field trials in the states of Illinois and Indiana. Mr Schultz brings over 20 years of basic and applied experience in testing seeds and agrochemicals. He obtained his B.S. in agronomy with some graduate study from University of Illinois and worked for Ciba/Novartis seeds as well USDA/APHIS and CRO. SynTech Research in Germany
SynTech Research has announced the expansion of its capabilities in central and northern Europe with the opening of a satellite near Hamburg in northern Germany. This facility will carry out field services with agrochemicals, biopesticides, and seeds.
In addition a new field research biologist Dr Lena Kontradowitz joined the company on 1 September 2009. Dr Kontradowitz previously worked at the Institute of Phytopathology at Christian Albrechts University, Kiel, conducting field trials.
